1. The breeder of a protected variety may apply for change of denomination of a variety.
2. The Registrar may advertise the proposed change for any opposition.
3. The Registrar may consider effect of the proposed change on identity of the variety and rights of other breeders and handle the case according to section 31 of the Plant Breeders’ Rights Act, 2016.
4. If, accepted, the changed denomination will be advertised.
