1. Opposition notice on form PB-6, along with documentary evidence and fee (Rs. 5000), may be given against an application for protection of a variety within 04 months from the date of its advertisement.
2. Where applicant or opponent of the protection neither resides nor carries on business in Pakistan, the Registrar may require him to give security for the costs of proceeding of the opposition.
3. The Registrar will decide the matter after considering view points and evidence from both parties according to section 19 of the Plant Breeders’ Rights Act, 2016 and section 07 of the Plant Breeders’ Rights Rules. 2018.
